Rugby Borough planners have spent £18,000 on consultants from Cardiff to tell them where the landscape around Rugby could be suitable for wind turbines.

These consultants are reporting their initial draft views at a public meeting. This gives everybody an opportunity to show their concern about the building of enormous, inefficient, industrial wind turbines around Rugby

ASWAR is inviting everybody to join in having a photograph taken on the steps of Rugby town hall, before this public meeting at 7pm Thursday Jan 27th.

It is vital as many people as possible (children included!) show the politicians that these turbines and their high costs on our fuel bills are not wanted, by attending this photo opportunity.

Remember a Government energy policy based on subsidised windfarms, will increase electricity prices and fuel poverty, reduce property values, devastate historic rural landscapes, increase serious health hazards, destroy amenity and wildlife, without any chance of altering atmospheric CO2 concentrations, still less of deflecting climate change.
